Eccoci finalmente prontissimi per partire con la quita edizione del Festival Musicale Vincent Persichetti – Centenario dalla nascita di Vincent Persichetti.
Io e la sister, Roberta Serpilli, siamo arrivate ieri nel paese natale di Vincent Persichetti, che è anche il nostro: Torricella Peligna. Stamattina, da buona direzione artistica, stiamo già lavorando: traduzioni dall’inglese, social networking, organizzazione artisti e strutture. Ci tengo subito a ringraziare immensamente la Presidente Rosanna Persichitti – lontana parente di Vincent Persichetti – per l’enorme lavoro che ha svolto quest’anno per il Festival. Tutto ciò è solo merito suo!!
Questa sera ci sarà il primo concerto dedicato a Vincent Persichetti presso la Mediateca John Fante di Torricella Peligna alle 21:30 durante il quale saranno eseguiti brani di Persichetti e non solo. Come da tradizione la serata del 16 Agosto prevede un concerto di musica da camera e questa volta avremo l’Ensemble Giovanile Persichetti composta da Andrea Piergentili al trombone, Diego Massimini al violino, Roberta Serpilli al pianoforte e io alla chitarra 😉
Potete vedere nel manifesto tutti gli altri concerti che ci saranno da Agosto fino ad Ottobre ma spero di tenervi aggiornati qui e sui social network perchè i prossimi saranno davvero giorni intensi e finalmente il grande compositore Vincent Persichetti verrà celebrato a dovere per il Centenario dalla sua nascita.

Ready, steady….goooo!!! Tonight the Vincent Persichetti Festival fifth edition will start in Torricella Peligna, the place where Persichetti’s father was born. This year is a special one because we are celebrating Vincent Persichetti Centenary from his birth (1915 -2015).
My sister, Roberta, and I arrived yesterday in awesome Torricella Peligna, we enjoyed the abruzzo meal and weather. Today we are already working on latest artistic direction stuff and tonight we are going to perform in the first concert of the Festival.
The 16th August concert will be a chamber music concert with Ensemble Vincent Persichetti performing: Andrea Piergentili, trombone, Diego Massimini, violin, Roberta Serpilli, piano, Caterina Serpilli, guitar. Persichetti pieces will be performed as well as other composers.
This will be only the first event and lots of other things will happen next days until 17th October. I will try to update you here or in the social medias … too much work to do and I really hope to find time to share everything with you!!
